A very long journey
If it's snowing along the St Lawrence, it must be time for a road trip through La Belle Province. Vecais and Mudzuks rounded up the Kakapoo mansion staff and headed towards the Atlantic coast to pay a visit to the new colonial outpost in the Bay of Fundy. VJ, the kindly old chauffeur, had made sure that the suspension on the van got a good work out (and that was just the snacks that Nan had prepared).
Armed with a pocketful of soothers and a bag of books, Papuks accompanied our intrepid travellers as they sped east through the night, and the snow and the ice.
Finally after 15+ hours on the road we reached the sardine capital of the world and VJ, Papuks and Hugo thought they'd died and gone to heaven. But they'd misread the sign and it was, in fact, just the ferry terminal. More a kind of limbo before the real fun began - I guess that's why they call it the Bay of FUNdy.
