O-squared

In fact we should probably say O-cubed: Oma, Opis, October.

This fall we all got treated to double grandparental pleasure, when the O&O descended upon Kaka-Poo mansions for an extended taste of life in the Hammer-lane.

Nanny & Aleks kicked off the entertainment with a fancy schmancy brunch for us all at the Old Mill:

Followed by some tree-climbing, true to form:

Luckily grandparentals were around to help "what goes up" to "come down"- repeatedly.

Then Papuks and Opis buggered off to Pennsylvania to see some house in the middle of the nowhere - apparently architects are fascinated by other architects who build houses over waterfalls...

Followed by Sunday lunch out at Ilze's farm:

Thanksgiving Friday involved a fantastic trip out to the Hogtown islands, where they all met up with Sabina and various other interesting creatures:

And then more glorious weather, and more trees a'changin', and more waterfalls...

Leaves!

And then back home for a sunny lunch.

And then later that night we set up our secret spy cameras to find out what happens once the small people go to bed... Like fancy dinners...


... and drinking, pontificating, holding forth, drinking, eating, politicizing, debating, eating, and drinking, and a bit of being bored. So now we know.

And then there were MORE dinners (and eating and drinking and pontificating)...

... and swimming (sorry - a blurry one was specifically chosen for reasons of avoiding possible criminal charges)

... and knitting!

More glorious weather, apples, pumpkins, horses...

And just before O-squared hit the road, Vecais figured out that he should stay up way past his bedtime to finally see for himself what the after-hours parties are all about.


And, for the record, although Opis is pictured above in various sunny and superterrainean locals, it should be noted that he spent most of his time down in what Mudzuks came to know fondly as "the dungeon." Photographic evidence of the fruits of labours will follow (once Papuks gets to the finishing touches).


And Opis wasn't the only one with fruits to show for his labours - as Maid Marion will attest, in this little Hallowe'en sneak preview!
