Garden Party

With the glorious spring weather descending, it was time for the yearly inauguration of the bbq! What better way than with an impromptu evening soiree with good friends, meatless burgers and a gradual loss of clothing...?

Here's Vecais making sure Mamuks isn't drinking skunky beer...

But it appears he may have "tested" a bit too much, as he shortly proceeded to lose his pants. And, when checking out his reflection in the screen door, it seemed that Nemo was staring back(?!). Mudzuks was duly concerned.

But then the party really started, with additional disrobing and a decision to take the ol' shaggin' wagon for a spin. Mudzuks and Vecais had a bit of a tussle about who got to ride on the roof...

But Mudzuks appeared to win out, while Vecais got behind the wheel. Bad idea (see above pictures of beverage "testing"). Unfortunately poor horsie got in the way of this reckless driver.

Sabina figured she'd better do a runner before the authorities showed up. Good move, Sabina.

An Uninvited Dinner Guest

... but then ladybird, ladybird flew away home.

The BigThaw

Well, no sooner than we make our gripes about the world's longest winter officially known, the chilly season goes and does a runner on us. Not that we're complaining. FINALLY spring is springing and we're cruising right along beside her.

To commemorate the grand event Kaiva came over after Latviesu skola and joined Mudzuks for a tour through the old 'hood. Strangely, Mamuks says she can already imagine us as moody teenagers....

But Mamuks really has nothing to worry about - we'll still take Jungle Gyms and Jumping in General over Jim Beam any day.
Meanwhile Vecais is thrilled to finally be able to let his inner sunitis (dog) wreak havoc in the backyard: you know, growling, barking, drinking the melted snow in the toboggan, digging up the plants and peeing on the lilac tree (well, four out of five --so far--, anyways).

And then Mamuks and Papuks joined the young Springophiles in the woods to bid adieu to the last of the white stuff. No matter how much we complained about the winter, parting is still such sweet sorrow...
