"Silent" Lake...
... that is, until we arrived (no worries, we' re sure our neighbours appreciated the 6 am wake-up calls).
So we headed off to the woods surrounding Silent Lake to enjoy Mamuks' and Papuks' undivided attention for a few days - something that seems to be a rare luxury these days. We had LOTS OF FUN, hence there are LOTS OF PICS to share with you. So grab a coffee while we entertain you....
A reluctant Coppertone girl (granted, it was a bit chilly)
That never-ending source of portable fun, otherwise known as The Hammock
Mudzuks builds a house for the resident chipmunks
(and this is the picture Mudzuks made Mamuks take so that she could explicitly
send it to Oma... ??)
send it to Oma... ??)
Post dinner fun consisted of collecting pine cones and fir cones and chucking them off the rocks into the lake (it really is a great deal of fun, trust us)
A young buck running through the woods near our campsite
Even far from civilization, oral hygiene remains high on the agenda
Vecais demonstrating a lovely utkatasana (chair pose) on the beach
Mudzuks and Vecais learning the fine art of "dogpile" (apparently its a good skill to have for rainy days and tents in general)
Waiting out the rain at the beach
Mmmm... marshmallows (the idea, per usual, was much more exciting than the end product)
Once again, apres dinner sojourn on the rocks with pine cones
Skinny dipping in the evening (or at least one of us was "skinny" - you can take that to mean what you please...)
